Thoroughly enjoyed this creative, unique story! Can't believe it took me so long to pick up this book and read it. It was delightful.
My GR friends are split pretty evenly about this book. It's a retelling of Daddy Long Legs without as much of the creepo factor. It's stuffed to overflowing with literary quotes, mostly from Jane Austen novels. I can see how it might not appeal to some readers, especially those not well versed in Austen's work. I'm sorry but no. No, thank you. I DNF-ed this at about 85 pages in because the characters were unlikable, the plot was boring, the format (while unique) was awkward, and there was a *cough* rather detailed kiss scene after the character went on one date with the guy.
