This book loses two whole stars because the main character (Rain) should have died every other chapter. I'm not sure I've ever read about a stupider woman in my life. She was constantly disregarding all aspects of her safety and the wishes of those that would protect her. It was beyond ridiculous. And yes, I'm going to tell you all about it. I'll put it behind spoiler tags, just in case.(view spoiler)[First, her house is broken into by a methed-out guy. Lock jimmied, alarm turned off with theFBI Agent Trevor Rivette has returned to his hometown of New Orleans, fast on the trail of a serial killer. Dante (AKA: The Vampire) has left a string of victims across the country. Trevor discovers that Dante is calling into a midnight talk show hosted by Psychologist Rain Sommers. Dante seems to be obsessed with Rain and may be targeting her as his next victim. Trevor plans to use that situation to his advantage.Trevor had a lot of backstory that came to life when he returned home. I found him

This romantic suspense novel is the debut book from new author Leslie Tentler. Late night talk show hose Rain Summers is the daughter of a murdered singer from New Orleans who is credited with being goth before goth was a trend. Special Agent Trevor Rivette is a native of New Orleans who left in his team and has spent the ensuing years trying to forget his childhood. Now he is back and dealing with a case that involves Rain, but may also be personal. As the case progresses, he finds that trying
Leslie Tentler's masterfully crafted a romantic thriller with the perfect amount of edge of your seat pacing. A hunky alpha male FBI agent with a troubled past. A beautiful and smart psychologist hunted by an evil killer. What more could you want? I loved the characters and plot, but what really stood out for me was the setting. Leslie draws you into New Orleans with rich details that make you want to run out to buy chicory coffee and beignets. As she leads you around the city hunting a vampiric
This was a really good romantic suspense read for a NTM author. What I found refreshing about this book was that we open with our hero's POV. Devon is an FBI agent chasing a serial killer across the US. He ends up back in his hometown of New Orleans. But he has a hard time as his childhood was a nightmare of abuse that is coming back to haunt him. In his investigation, he ends up meeting Rain Sommers, a late night radio host and children's psychologist. As it turns out our killer has a little
Typical romantic suspense, nothing special or different, too much stupidity, some things not answered.REVIEWERS OPINION:Readers who love romantic suspense (RS) may like this, but it was too ordinary for me - things that have been said and done before. There was no wow or surprise. There is a long, drawn out investigation with various clues, different things happening, and a major crisis/conflict at the end. Its a complicated plot with some parts that needed to be tied in better. There are two
