Fun and quick murder mysteries.The opening chapter is a thing of beauty. I loved the whole book, but really, listen to the development of the characters and background. So well done.
The Hyde Park Literary Circle was holding a ball to honor the Queen's Jubilee at Lucinda Marlow's House. Lady Cannonberry had invited her neighbor Inspector Witherspoon to accompany her to the ball. While they were enjoying the evening in the Marlow garden with many of the other guests, Hannah Greenwood, Literary Circle member, tumbled from the third-floor balcony with a knife in her back. Why are these Mrs. Jeffries books so fun? I only ever give them 4 stars because I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I think they're underrated and awesome, otherwise I'd give them 5 stars. Oh what the heck.
