Judgment Out Of Books Beyond the Dead Forest
Monsters...check. Classic battle of good vs evil...check. Creative way of teaching bible stories...check. It seems like Mr. Groll pretty much covered everything! Beyond the Dead Forest is not your typical young adult novel. Actually, I cant say Ive ever read anything like it before. Carter and Kat are two friends who love to go exploring. When they stumble upon a random and mysterious forest that seems to come out of nowhere, the two adventurers are faced with the challenge of a lifetime. Are

This book is a page turner. If you like Indiana Jones, you will find an affinity for this one. I have been captivated by this book. It's the seemingly never ending adventures that are somewhat reflective of everyday childhood struggles. More importantly, Grolls ability to inject values and morals to his stories is just impressive. It's entertaining not preachy! The youth will learn a lot from this. I'm pretty sure your kids or grand kids will love this book and I seriously think you will enjoy

Beyond the Dead Forest brings to life the story of two pre-teens who are searching for excitement and entertainment. Taken to a world that is only visible to them, they begin a journey that teaches important lessons about what really matters in life. Mr. Groll does a fantastic job of gently guiding these youngsters through perilous tests, both in the physical and of the heart. I highly recommend this book, especially to intermediate to middle school aged students.

I wasn't expecting too much from this book as it was only after I'd received it that I realised it was based quite heavily around Biblical stories (it's written by an American preacher) but to my surprise, I really enjoyed it once I got into it. The lead characters are Carter and Kat, who are two lonely children who live in a remote area so spend alot of time together. One day they venture into the Dead Forest of the title to explore it further and encounter two strange men, the Adversary and
