Tsubasa continues to deliver interesting story elements and surpass its on-screeen adaptation in almost every way. We see a bit of foreshadowing towards events much later in the series with Syaoran's dialogue, and this volume's mystery is delivered with plenty of surprises and "Aha!" moments. The authors trust their readers to understand where the plot is going, and sneak in enough clues that some will figure out the twists early, which is refreshing. We also get a better grasp on Mokona'sOur group of travellers is still stuck on their first new world searching for Sakura's memories, and things are finally starting to get interesting. The people who live on this world each have guardian spirits, and they seem to spend an awful lot of time using these spirits to fight each other. While the concept of having their own personal "gods" is interesting, Clamp's choice to use them as battling beings cheapens the effect. Pokémon, Digimon, and about a dozen other series have done this
It took me a long time ti finish this second volume since I had reached a good part of the story and I didnt want that good part of the story to end. So I stalled on finishing reading the volume.I dont like going into certain mangas expecting anything to happen. I like going into mangas open-minded so I can take in the story as well as the artwork.Saying that, I really like where this second volume has lead to. Im still interested in the series, so I will be continuing on with the third volume
Oh my gosh! What can I say? Tsubasa puts storytelling to an extreme! At first, I was, "Oh, this is a Pokemon battle...nothing new since this manga came from the early 2000's when Digimon and Pokemon animes are getting rampant. We're all good... hehehe 😅"But oh man, after that, the shock...the SHOCK 😱😭!!! I just have to hold it up together and remind myself that this is just volume 2 out of 28 volumes😖🙏! Why does this manga feels like a roller-coaster of emotions? I'm laughing on one chapter. 😂.
I hate how the manga community collectively gives every single manga a retardedly high rating on here. Why can't any manga have a low average rating.This manga in particular does not deserve a 4.25 rating!I read this a long time ago and I find it to be really really immemorable in every way. I got it because I liked xxxholic and I had heard that this was supposed to be some sort of gimmicky crossover series where the two manga had panels that lined up across the two series or something. Neat
Lots of action! Primela was cute and fun. I liked her kudan being a microphone.I officially love Fai! He and Kurogane play off each other so well. I also love Mokona! Toya and Yukito are super cute together, no mater how it is. I hope we can see them in every world!I am looking forward to seeing how Clamp introduces more of their other characters. This is a really interesting idea for a story.
July 2013: 5 stars (and beyond)Gaaah I loved this volume! So many feels <33Spoiler: the part at the end where Sakura doesn't remember Syaoran but he still holds himself together? Bittersweet. The part where he goes outside to cry and Kurogane and Fai send their kudans out to keep him sheltered? HEART-WRENCHING!!!!And can I just say? Mokona is flipping adorable! ^_^My one complaint is that sometimes, during the action filled panels, I had no idea what was happening. Luckily, this didn't hinder
