Well, drat. I LOVE D'Alessandro's work, but this novel was a real disappointment for me. D'Alessandro has a lovely writing style and she usually creates fun (but not annoying) heroines and heroes with strong exteriors (but super gooey insides). In this novel, there were plenty of excellent secondary characters, but the main couple, was, well, BORING. I could not connect with Philip or Meredith at all. Though I didn't like this one quite as much as Andrew and Catherine's story, I still enjoyed it quite a bit. I just found the curse to be rather silly. However, I totally loved the banter between Philip and Meredith. The little side story of Albert and Charlotte was a sweet addition.
